He was diagnosed, in 2018, with Diabetes Mellitus during my first week working for Melissa, and it has been quite the journey learning how to manage a Diabetic cat throughout his last 5 years.Whiskers lived to the ripe old age of 18 years, and was one of the toughest cats that I have ever known. We would often sing "Old Man Whiskey" in the tone of "Ol' Man River" and he would always&nbsp;respond with his special crackly meow.<br />&#8203; Whiskers passed away February 15th, 2023.
