Whiskers was the first pet that I brought to Stone Ridge Vet Services. He was diagnosed, in 2018, with Diabetes Mellitus during my first week working for Melissa, and it has been quite the journey learning how to manage a Diabetic cat throughout his last 5 years.
Whiskers lived to the ripe old age of 18 years, and was one of the toughest cats that I have ever known. When he was young, he would prowl the streets of Morinville and pick fights with who ever crossed his path. I brought him with me to the live in Carbondale, and he really took to the acreage cat life pretty quick.
We would often find him wondering the garden or sleeping in the flower pots;  as he got older, he chose to be a porch cat, basking
