Dr. Melissa Hittinger
MAg, DVM, VSMT

Dr. Hittinger graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture followed by a Masters of Agriculture (MAg) in 2003.  In 2007, she graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK.  More recently, she completed the Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT) course allowing the addition of chiropractic adjustments for large and small animals to the practice.

​Together with her husband, they run a cow calf operation and have two kids.  Horses have always been a large part of Melissa's life and she continues to ride and learn new things we she can.  She is also a director for the local agricultural society, general leader of the Golden Sunset Beef 4-H Club, and a junior high basketball coach.

Shelby Coulter
Registered Veterinary Technologist

Shelby graduated in 2012 from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in Ontario, became a CCMT (certified canine massage therapist) in 2018 through the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapist.  When not at the clinic, she can be found riding her horses, working stock with her cattle dog, snowmobiling, quadding, hiking, camping or just hanging around a bonfire.  Shelby is currently on maternity leave.  She plans to be back in 2025.

Christie Grant
Registered Veterinary Technologist

Stone Ridge Veterinary Services is pleased to have Christie working with us.  She has been with SRVS for a long time now and completed the Animal Health Technology Program at NAIT in 2022 and is happy to be back as an RVT.

Robyn Urichuk
Registered Veterinary Technologist

Robyn graduated from the AHT program in 2023 from Lakeland college and is eager to continue her new journey as an RVT at SRVS covering maternity leave. She has a special place in her heart for cattle and dogs.
When she’s not at work you can almost always find her enjoying the outdoors with her fiance and dogs! Either checking pastures, camping, taking in the scenery or playing cards!

Laurie MacLean
PCP (MacQuail Business Services), Administration

Laurie provides SRVS with accounting, payroll, admin and occasional puppy support.  He brings a wealth of experience to the SRVS team with Purchasing and Management certifications and the PCP designation.  Laurie enjoys working with pets and appreciates the clinic's challenges.

Lori Latreille
Support Coordinator

Lori joined the Stone Ridge team in November of 2020.  She brings a knowledge having raised herds of nearly 300 head of Kiko and Boki goats.  On the farm, she also enjoys her equine, canine, and feline friends.  When not at work, she enjoys camping, fishing, and paddling in the summer, and is involved with Canadian Ski Patrol, Canadian Adaptive Snow Sports, Freestyle Alberta/Canada, and is a ski instructor.

Bill brings a wealth of patience and caring to the team.  He completed the Veterinary Health Care Assistant program 2021.

Mary Hammond
Kennel Staff

Mary has had a lifelong love of animals which has resulted in having small hobby farm. She helped run an adoption kennel with her family during her high school years and during college, worked at the SPCA in Ontario.  Her children have inherited her love of animals and always trying to find a new one to bring home!
